Klausenjagen, Küssnacht am Rigi

The Klausenjagen is an old tradition, specific to Küssnacht am Rigi, held on the 6th December every year.


We took the ship on the way to Küssnacht, and enjoyed the time with a hearty cheese fondue.


The event attracts about 20,000 visitors. Quite a crowd!


Artistic lanterns are carried in a procession through the darkened streets.


Noisy cowbells follow the lanterns in the procession.


The whole experience leaves one with a somewhat surreal impression ...
